Zufriedenstellende EMO 2019 in Hannover
MAPAL erhofft sich Rückenwind durch qualitativ hochwertige Kontakte und positive Impulse
Als durchaus zufriedenstellend beurteilt das MAPAL Messeteam die EMO 2019 in Hannover. „Wir hatten unsere Erwartungen nicht allzu hochgesteckt“, betont Dr. Jochen Kress, Geschäftsführender Gesellschafter der MAPAL Dr. Kress KG. Die Erwartungen wurden übertroffen. Zwar meldet der Messeveranstalter zahlenmäßig weniger Besucher als noch vor zwei Jahren, Kress resümiert jedoch: „Die Qualität der Kontakte war erstaunlich hoch. Die Messe war gut, wir haben positive Impulse erhalten und erhoffen uns Rückenwind für die kommenden Monate.“
Wirtschaftlichkeit und Elektromobilität
Vor allem die Frage „Wie sieht die Fertigung hinsichtlich der Bauteile und der Digitalisierung in Zukunft aus?“ treibe viele Unternehmen um, so Kress. Dabei stehe die Wirtschaftlichkeit im Vordergrund. Firmen, die hauptsächlich in der Automobilbranche ansässig sind, beschäftige vorrangig das Thema Elektromobilität und die Fertigung der dafür notwendigen Bauteile. Am MAPAL Stand waren dazu umfassende Lösungen zu sehen. „Das Interesse an unserem Programm war sehr groß“, sagt Andreas Enzenbach, Vice President Marketing and Product Management. MAPAL hebe dabei vor allem ab, dass bereits komplette Bearbeitungskonzepte vorliegen und Kunden der gesamte Prozess geboten werde.
Blickfänger: MAPAL Spannfutter in neuem Design
Blickfänger und gleichzeitig Mittelpunkt des rund 520 Quadratmeter großen MAPAL Standes stellen die blau beleuchteten Spannfutter in neuem Design dar. Die Spannfutter, die als Verbindung zwischen Maschine und Werkzeug eine entscheidende Rolle spielen, wurden hinsichtlich Form, Oberfläche, Gewicht und Materialeinsatz untersucht und optimiert. Dank durchdachtem Industriedesign ist die Oberfläche der Futter beispielsweise korrosionsbeständiger. Zudem sind die Spannfutter gewichtsärmer bei einer höheren Steifigkeit. Die klare Kennzeichnung der Bedienelemente stellt darüber hinaus ein sogenanntes „Foolproof-Handling“ sicher.
New partnerships and artificial intelligence
The subsidiary c-Com’s exhibition stand will also focus on exciting new products. Firstly, Giari Fiorucci, Managing Director of c-Com GmbH, is pleased to announce two new partnerships with renowned companies. Secondly, the start-up presents initial AI approaches with new applications. “With c-Com we are leveraging the potential of digitisation for our customers. And making the entry into networked production very easy,” says Fiorucci. In this regard, the c-Connect Box also attracts attention at both stands. For example, the setting fixtures on the MAPAL exhibition stand are networked with virtual machines. As well as this, machine traffic lights at both exhibition stands will be monitored by sensors using the c-Connect box. Large monitors show the results right away.
Political figures at the EMO exhibition stand
On the first day of the trade fair, MEP and Chairman of the European Green Party, Reinhard Bütikofer, spoke with Dr Jochen Kress and Andreas Enzenbach and learned about current developments within the company. Dr Berend Lindner (CDU), State Secretary in the Lower Saxony Ministry of Economics, Labour, Transport and Digitisation followed suit on the third day of the fair. The key topics of conversation include the global economy, continuing digitisation and structural change within the automotive industry and how MAPAL is adapting to these pressures.
Application-oriented – Dennis Minder at the VDMA Technology Forum
MAPAL also participated in the VDMA Technology Forum on the third day of the trade fair. Dennis Minder, member of the clamping technology product management team, speaks on the subject “Application-oriented tool clamping technology – The role of clamping technology in the processes of the future”. It shows how additive manufacturing pushes boundaries in the production of chucks. Chucks can be designed for specific applications with greater design freedom. Cost-effectiveness increases significantly for the customer.
