Form cutters are increasingly used for manufacturing complex shapes in a cost-efficient way. Time-consuming adjustments of individual shape segments are no longer required during a milling process and the dimensional accuracy of the tools used is permanently maintained. As far as technologically feasible, the complete shape of a workpiece can possibly be taken into account in a milling cutter.
